Liya Wang

Liya Wang stands as one of the most compelling pianists of her generation. Her historic victory at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich—becoming the first Chinese pianist in half a century to claim a top prize—signaled the arrival of a transformative voice in the classical world. As the German press aptly noted: “Liya Wang reveals to us the future of piano playing.” Her artistry has graced the world's most iconic stages, from New York’s Carnegie Hall to the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing. A frequent soloist with elite ensembles such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, she balances powerful orchestral collaborations with intimate, evocative recitals across Europe, Asia, and North America.
